Where does AI fit in your business?
Used well, AI takes real, boring work off your team, creates new capabilities and delivers better customer service
Without a plan, it’ll already be creeping in anyway uncontrolled, on personal phones and free tools. We help you get the first, properly managed, without the second.
Free + three minutes
Start with our free AI readiness check
Answer ten questions and we’ll evaluate them there and then, while you wait. A real response to your answers, not a generic scorecard. And if the honest result is “not yet”, you’ll be told that too.
You’ll find out
Where your biggest opportunities are
What’s already putting you at risk
How far along you really are, compared with businesses your size
You’ve probably read that AI will save you a day a week.
On some tasks it definitely can. For others, it’s a solution looking for a problem.
An AI answering the phone might transform a busy call centre, but not an accountancy practice whose clients have rung the same person for twenty years.
The trick is fitting AI into the way your business actually runs, not around what the tools promise.
What doing AI right looks like
AI brought in deliberately, where it earns its place, with the guardrails in before it arrives. In practice that comes down to two things.
Your team use it, and you know how
People in your business are going to use AI. That’s a good thing, done right. The resourceful ones get to be resourceful, customer details stay where they belong, and marketing that goes out sounds like you (with the right number of hands on the people in the pictures).
The difference is that someone has told them what’s safe, what isn’t, and where the information goes. A few clear rules written for your business, a bit of training, and the quiet pasting into free tools turns into a team that’s confident and covered.
Someone is in charge of it
AI in your business with a name against it. Clear guidelines on who uses what, for which jobs. A person checking what comes out before it reaches a customer. A team that was asked rather than told, so they understand why the new thing is there and don’t quietly work round it. Implemented as it suits you, not the pace of the hype.
You can explain what you’re doing with AI to a customer, a regulator or your own staff in a couple of sentences – a position very few businesses are in.
Get those two things in place and most of the AI decisions get easier, because you’re choosing from a position of control rather than catching up.
The three-minute check below tells you how close you already are.
Free AI readiness check
Three minutes to find out where you stand
Ten quick questions about how your business runs, what your team is already doing with AI, and the job you’d most like to stop doing by hand. We’ll give you a score, what we’d suggest looking at first, and the things that could cost you. Short enough to read on your phone, but specific enough to be useful. No forty-page PDF.
You might find you’re further ahead than you thought. You might be told to sort a few housekeeping things before going near any of it. Either way you’ll know, and you won’t have to sit through a sales call to find out.
The AI Readiness Review
The full picture, in a fortnight
Your free score tells you where you stand. The Readiness Review tells you what to do about it, in what order, what each step is worth to you in hours and pounds, and how to bring your team with you so the change actually sticks.
It takes two weeks – a day of it in your business, with the people who actually do the jobs, because the way a business officially runs and the way it really runs are rarely the same – and the second one is where the savings are hiding.
We’ll then clearly set out our findings, so you end up with something you can act on rather than file (whether you go on to work with us or not).
Whatever happens you can be sure of an honest answer based on what’s right for your business.
What you walk away with
Your readiness score, and the reasons behind it
Where you’re exposed, where you’re already ahead, and how you compare with businesses your size.
A straight answer on where AI fits in your business and where it doesn’t
Some of your quick wins will be AI. Some will be plain plumbing between systems you already pay for. You’ll know which is which before you spend a penny on either.
A 12-month roadmap
What to do first, what to do next, what to leave alone, with the hours each step hands back so you can see what’s worth the bother.
A plan for your people, not just your systems
Who’s affected by each change, what it means for their day, what they need to know before it lands, and where the pushback is likely to come from. Most AI projects fail on this bit, not the technology.
It all explained back to you in person
With time for the questions that always come up afterwards.
Readiness Review
£2,950
For the two-week Readiness Review, including the on-site workshop and a 12-month roadmap.
Extended Review
From £6,500
Need to go deeper? For businesses with more than one site, several systems that don’t talk to each other, or a software decision already on the table, the Extended Review adds a second workshop, a data and systems audit and a shortlist of vendors against your real requirements.
Both come with a lighter annual revisit, because the tools move on and so does your business.
“They’ve streamlined processes, reduced admin burdens, and supported us every step in adopting automation. Truly a game-changer for efficiency.”
Mair James, Carmarthen Showground
What happens once you’ve got the list
A roadmap is only worth having if the work gets done, so we do that too. We begin with one change that makes a meaningful difference to someone’s week, low risk, easy to undo, and a fair test of how your team takes to it.
Put in safely, with your people on side
The technology is rarely the hard part. The hard part is the person who’s done the job the same way for twelve years, the customer data that mustn’t end up somewhere it shouldn’t, and the new system nobody was shown how to use. Every piece of work comes with the change handled: your team involved before anything is switched on, trained in how it affects their day, clear rules on what goes where, and someone to ring when week three gets weird. It’s enhancement, not replacement. Get that right and people feel helped rather than threatened.
Every roadmap is different, but the work tends to fall into five areas…
Connecting your systems
Stop retyping orders, assembling the same report every Monday and chasing sign-offs by email. The software you already pay for gets connected up so information moves on its own. Set up once, keeps working, and nobody has to remember to do it – no prompts required.
What it looks like for you: one entry instead of three, and an office that handles the exceptions rather than the routine.
AI where it earns its place
Some jobs need judgement, not plumbing: summarising documents, drafting first replies to common enquiries, pulling the useful bits out of a pile of data. Done carefully, with a person checking the output, modern AI handles these well. You’ll also be told plainly where it still falls flat, so you’re not finding out the hard way.
What it looks like for you: first drafts waiting for you rather than blank pages, and a person still signing them off.
Reporting that writes itself
If someone in your business spends the first morning of every month wrestling numbers into a spreadsheet, that can almost certainly by streamlined. Your analytics, sales and finance figures pulled together automatically into something people can actually read, before anyone’s had their first coffee.
What it looks like for you: the monthly numbers in your inbox before anyone has had their first coffee.
Training and policy for your team
Tools change monthly, the skills don’t. Your team learns what to use AI for, what to keep well away from it, how to check its work and how to keep customer data where it belongs. No jargon, no doom mongering, no evangelism – and no more guessing about what’s allowed.
What it looks like for you: a team that knows where the lines are, and a policy you can hand to a customer who asks.
Keeping it running
Automations break. Someone renames a folder, a login expires, a supplier changes their system. A care plan means it’s fixed before you notice, usually before you’ve had chance to be annoyed. And if you’d rather your data never left the building at all, we can help you with a private AI that runs on your own hardware.
What it looks like for you: a monthly plan, someone watching it, and the option of AI that never leaves your premises.
This is what we do all day
We build these tools, run them in our own business and put them into other people’s, so the advice comes from the workbench rather than the brochure. Behind that is thirty years of bringing big, complicated change into real businesses full of busy people without it falling over, which is the bit the people selling you AI tend to skip.
We’re not tied to any vendor and we don’t take commission on anything. You’ll be told what’s worth doing, what isn’t, and what’s already working fine as it is, even when that leaves you with a shorter list of things to buy from us. And whatever does end up on the list gets put in safely, with your people brought along rather than handed a new tool and left to get on with it.
Rather just talk to someone?
Fair enough. Skip the form, book twenty minutes, and tell us what’s bothering you about AI, or about the admin, or about the spreadsheet that only one person understands. We’ll tell you honestly whether it’s something we can help with.
